For three months after her stroke, Malima*, a widow from the Middle East, was unable to speak. She could only communicate through her tears, hand gestures, or eye contact. She also suffered from post-stroke depression, along with some other ailments. When CAM contacts brought her a wheelchair, her eyes lit up. To everyone’s surprise she suddenly spoke in a weak voice, “It’s mine, mine, the chair.”

How the children rejoiced to hear their mother’s voice again! Her daughter said, “It is as if her soul has returned.” Now Malima enjoys going out for short walks, sitting on the balcony, and breathing the fresh air.
