Clean water is just a dream for many people. Every day, millions around the world scoop brown water out of stagnant water holes and muddy lakes and rivers. CAM’s Water-for-the-World program changes this for some people. And the results are not always just physical.

In Cambodia, where people use dirty surface water for cooking, drinking, bathing, and laundry, CAM provides funds to Arising Light Asian Ministries (ALAM) to drill wells.

While they are drilling wells for Cambodian communities, staff from this ministry have opportunities to share the Gospel message with those who never heard it. Before drilling a well, they often meet with people from the village to introduce the program and arrange to hold a Bible study.

In one large village the resistance to Christianity was intense when ALAM staff first arrived. In fact, some of the villagers were willing to forfeit a well rather than meet for the required Bible study and introduction to the ministry. However, after they saw ALAM drilling wells for other families, their “walls of resistance began to crumble,” reported James Mullet, ALAM board member. “The people saw real Christianity at work. We have now been able to drill more than 100 wells in this village.”

In a country overshadowed with physical and spiritual poverty, providing fresh water not only keeps people healthy but leads them to Jesus, the Living Water. Thank you, supporters, for giving Cambodians and people from other countries access to clean water and the message of Jesus!

“I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.” Revelation 21:6

One-time Donation

Yes, I intend to give monthly donations for the Water-for-the-World Program. I understand that my funds will be used to dig wells, build cisterns, and provide water filters for people in Kenya, Haiti, Liberia, Cambodia, and the Palestinian territories.
