Leap Sen from Cambodia was troubled that her eleven-year-old son wasn’t able to attend school. Her husband’s job as a brick mason didn’t bring enough funds to support the family and provide schooling for their son.
When SALT Microfinance Solutions started a savings group in their village, Leap Sen decided to join. With the help of a loan from the savings group, she was able to start up a small store to supplement her husband’s income. Today, her store is providing enough profit that she and her husband can afford to send their son to school.
More than 40,000 SALT savings group members in various countries are learning to better provide for their families through the SALT teaching. More importantly, many of them are hearing the Gospel for the first time at these meetings.
