Hardships aren’t uncommon for Galina, a recently widowed mother in Belarus. Her husband drank alcohol all his life before becoming ill with cancer. Two months before he died, he repented and asked God to save him. After his death, Galina was alone, with no one to provide for her. Recently, she was given potatoes through the Potatoes for the Poor program. Deeply grateful, she shared, “May the Lord richly bless those who have shown compassion in this ministry.”
In Kyrgyzstan, another mother is struggling to raise five children alone while facing her own disability of deafness. When CAM contacts arrived with potatoes and other aid, they found this mother and her children without food. She testified that, as always, God sent help in time.
