Coronavirus Action Plan

March 17, 2020

Dear Volunteers & Supporters at Reapers of Hope,

The Government of Ontario declared a State of Emergency this morning, March 17, 2020 in response to the rapid spread of COVID-19 in the province. This official status upgrades recommended action to prohibitions, including the assembly of 50 or more people. At Christian Aid Ministries Canada, we respect this decision and resolve to uphold this order to
help protect our communities, volunteers and staff. Furthermore, we recognize the astounding statistical disadvantage of the vulnerable, including seniors who constitute a large percentage of our volunteer base with their generous contribution of donated time and energy.

The Board of Directors has made the united decision to close Reapers of Hope until April 6, This date may be extended depending on the ongoing directives of the Government of Ontario and the current epidemiology of the virus within our surrounding community at that time. In the meantime, if you have any questions or would appreciate an update, please
don’t hesitate to call our office at: (519) 638-0829.

Please join us in prayer as we commit this situation to the Lord and navigate our way through the uncertain days ahead. Take courage from the following Scripture in Joshua 1:9, “Be strong and of good courage. Be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed, for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest.”

Sincerely,
Ronald Jantzi
Program Director, Reapers of Hope
