Our hearts are full of gratitude as we reflect on the monumental years since our last Open House in 2019. As COVID-19 advanced across the world, beginning in Asia and finally reaching North America in March of 2020, uncertainties loomed before us as we carefully considered the future of Christian Aid Ministries Canada. Would the virus devastate our economy and cause a significant drop in donations? Would the Projects Centre building plans proceed in 2020? God was gracious to this ministry, and with humbled-but-thankful hearts, we report that the ministry was able to sustain and grow local and international programs. And the completed Projects Centre building stands as a testament to God’s abundant grace!

On October 16, 2021, we received the devastating news that a group of 17 staff members were kidnapped by a Haitian gang. One of them was a Canadian citizen from our local community in Ontario. As CAM’s leadership on both sides of the border gathered for regular meetings to prayerfully provide direction during the 2-month captivity, we were encouraged with the uplifting knowledge that our support-base was fervently praying for the situation. Later, God miraculously intervened and they escaped to safety. This harrowing incident reminded us of the compassionate and sovereign nature of God. He is abundantly able to save! (1)

We invite you to come to our Open House on September 23-24, 2022, and join us in celebrating God’s goodness together. The entire event is to be held, Lord willing, in Moorefield Ontario, including the Friday evening formal speaking event with slides. On Saturday, there will be informative presentations, tours through Reapers of Hope and the new Projects Centre, book sales, and a chance to fellowship with CAM associates and others who share your love for Christian outreach. A light lunch will be served on Saturday, featuring Reapers of Hope soup with complimentary sandwiches and snacks. A donation box will be on hand to cover the cost of the food.
