Eastern Europe’s economy still feels the effects of communism although it fell over thirty years ago. The cost of living continues to rise while many families’ incomes remain low. Monthly Adopt-A-Family food parcels provide a ray of sunshine for families who face discouraging circumstances.
The Chadavi family in Ukraine, pictured at left, receives a monthly food parcel provided by CAM supporters. “From the bottom of our hearts, we are thankful for the help . . .” they share. “We are also thankful to God. For us [the parcel] is a big help and joy.”
Another Ukrainian family writes, “We are so thankful for your goodness in caring for our family. . . . It is such a help for our family in this hard time.”
