In 2020, conflict broke out within Ethiopia. The federal government and armed militias in the Tigray region are at odds. As people flee the conflict, they settle into camps in safer areas of Ethiopia. Many of these camps don’t have adequate food, shelter, or water for the sudden crowds of people.
Many children are caught in the midst of this chaos and are left traumatized by the horrors of war. CAM works through contacts to provide food for orphans and disabled children. They also help children with disabled or chronically ill parents. A warm meal is a special gift to children whose lives have been affected by the atrocities of conflict.
