Issa was homeless and in poor health. He had no job or family to help him. This elderly man in the Middle East depended on the handouts of others to survive.

Things started to change when some people from the community helped Issa build a small house.

CAM staff members heard about his plight and helped Issa start a business of selling snacks from a little cart. He buys small items for 14 cents each and sells them for 28 cents. The sign on his cart says “Issa’s Supermarket.”

Issa is elated and says this project has helped change him from someone who had to ask people for money, to being self-supporting.
