Outcasts of society, lepers in South Asia face discrimination from their friends and even their families. As the dreaded disease slowly spreads in their body, many become helpless and crippled.
These rejected people eagerly reach for love and acceptance when someone offers a loving hand to help them. When several staff members and contacts entered a leprosy colony, one elderly woman told them, “Thank you for coming, God’s people. It is nice to see you.”
CAM works through contacts to provide food, clothing, housing, and medical aid to people suffering from leprosy. These lepers also receive discipleship and Gospel teaching.
Many lepers are turning to Jesus and experiencing firsthand the powerful love of Christ. Pray that they will continue to find peace and security in the One who loves them unconditionally.
