Growing up without a father and having a mother who was always working and not caring for her sons, Matteo,* Juan, and Antonio began spending time on the streets with bad company. The three boys kept getting into trouble until a neighbor intervened. The neighbor asked the children’s home in Mexico sponsored by CAM’s Child Rescue program if they would take in these boys.

Because of the negative influences in their lives, these boys struggled with the structure they experienced in their new home. But little by little, with patience, love, and discipleship, their behavior began to change. The investment of time and training in these boys’ lives is returning as they grow older. Juan and Antonio are thriving in school. Matteo has gotten a steady job and has grown into a positive leader among the youth of the children’s home, but most importantly, he loves God and enjoys being involved in the church.
