“It was very difficult for us to spend the cold night,” said Sita* from Nepal. “I am 68 years old and live with my two small grandsons. After the death of my son, my daughter-in-law left [her sons] and eloped with someone. . . . Being old, I am unable to provide my grandsons’ needs because I do not have a source of income. Some of my villagers have loving and kind hearts. They give, and we survive. This winter, my grandsons and I were covering our bodies with old and tattered clothes. I used to feel I might not survive this winter due to having no warm clothes, but you people came and helped me. I had never thought I would be provided such a warm blanket by you, because until today, no one has given me such a good blanket. I want to come to the church and know more about Jesus. Pray for me.”
