Through Bibles, the light and love of Jesus continue to spread throughout the world. In closed and restricted countries, the Bible is highly treasured. Despite government leaders’ efforts to eradicate Christian teaching, clamp down on Christians, and imprison church leaders, the Word of God continues to change hearts and lives.
A believer in a restricted country who received an audio Bible wrote, “I was imprisoned for my faith from 2023 to 2025. During those two years, I endured immense suffering. My hands were bound behind my back, and I was thrown face down onto the ground for days. I was repeatedly beaten. When I shared my faith and prayed with other prisoners, security officers discovered my actions, and four men subjected me to relentless beatings for many days. As a result of the violence, I lost sight in one eye. Over time, I lost vision in the second eye, leaving me completely blind. The severe beatings also caused lasting damage to my back, making it difficult to stand—I am nearly paralyzed . . .”
