Joseph is 10 years old and lives with his grandparents and two cousins in Nicaragua. He was born with only one functioning ventricle in his heart and is missing part of the normal pathway that carries blood to the lungs.
Because of this condition, Joseph can’t walk more than 100 feet at a time, run, or exert himself physically as he quickly becomes exhausted. This disability prevents him from regularly attending
school.
Since getting a new wheelchair, Joseph can attend church, and sometimes he helps his grandmother sell fruit at a little stand beside the road.
Funds are needed to distribute donated wheelchairs in Nicaragua and to purchase
