Akbar* is 45 years old and shoulders a heavy load. He cares for his wife, his disabled child, his mother, and two younger brothers. Akbar worked as a farmer in Yemen, but because the war made food and other items more expensive, his small income was no longer enough to provide for their needs. He decided to travel to another country to look for work. To get money to travel, he sold his cow, donkey, and all his other animals, but someone lied to him, and he lost all his money. This made Akbar sad, and the blame from his family made his suffering even greater.

One day, CAM contacts visited Akbar’s family with food and hygiene items. Akbar said, “My mental state improved, and I was able to get out again and look for work until the planting season. I left my case to God against those who stole from me. Thank you to all the supporters and workers . . . who stand with us during these difficult times. You helped me find hope again.”
