When the handicapped or elderly have insufficient resources, providing adult briefs is a powerful way to minister to them. It allows caretakers to care for these dear people with dignity.
Grichel, a 15-year-old Nicaraguan girl, lives with her mother, who is partially blind and can no longer work. Grichel has a handicap called hydrocephalus* and uses adult briefs, seizure medication, and other items given to her through our supporters’ generosity. “God has always provided for us at the right time,” Grichel’s mother said tearfully as she received the adult briefs and medication. “Thank you! This is a tremendous help!”
*Hydrocephalus is caused when too much fluid builds up inside the spaces of the brain. This extra fluid puts pressure on the brain, which can keep it from functioning properly.
