Conflict in Nigeria has left many people suffering, especially believers. In some communities, rebel groups harass believers, often killing the men who stay behind to save their homes while the women and children flee. This has left many widows and orphans; some witnessed terrible things before managing to escape. One girl watched as rebels caught her father and killed him, cutting him in two with machetes. Many carry the pain and trauma with them for years, unable to forget the horrible memories.
God alone can meet emotional needs, but the Widows Care Fund can meet some physical needs. The gift of food, shelter, and other aid is a blessing to Nigerian mothers who must care for their families alone.
Violence against believers in Nigeria continues today. If you wish to help widows in Nigeria and various other countries, please click Donate to give a gift.
