The Seed of Truth: 30 years of Vision, Hunger, and Open Doors

This year marks 30 years of sharing practical Biblical truths through the Seed of Truth Christian magazine. We thank God and our supporters for enabling this work to impact millions of readers across the world!

The vision
Since beginning work in Romania in 1981, CAM staff found a great need for solid Bible teaching. In response to this need and the equally great opportunity to share Biblical doctrines and teachings, CAM developed the Seed of Truth magazine. This magazine contained doctrinal and Christian family articles, children’s stories, church history, and other material selected from conservative Anabaptist publications. The first issue, printed in Romanian as Samanta Adevarului, was published in January 1995. At the beginning, approximately 10,000 copies were printed and distributed each month, with some packed into monthly food parcels and others given to churches.

Hunger and growth
As the Seed of Truth was distributed in Romania and several surrounding countries, demand quickly grew. We also continued finding a severe lack of Christian literature as CAM’s work expanded to other parts of the world. This need brought continued opportunities to respond with the Seed of Truth magazine as

well as the Antorcha de La Verdad (Torch of Truth) magazine for Latin America. Today, over 1 million copies of Christian Family Magazines are translated, printed, and distributed each month to readers in more than 80 countries, including variations of the magazines that go into numerous restricted locations.

God at work
Although the number of languages and copies have changed drastically since 1995, the vision and content of the Seed of Truth remain much the same. We praise God for the way He has used this channel to plant “seeds of truth” in countless hearts around the world! “We are very grateful to the Lord and to you for your magazines,” says a reader from Ukraine. “I keep every issue, and I read and reread them.” In Romania, a recipient shares, “Every page read brings us closer to the Word of God. The articles, testimonies, and godly challenges build us spiritually and strengthen us in our walk with the Lord.” We thank God and you for making this possible!
